Mid-Life Crisis challenge completed
"Mike's mid-life crisis challenge" completed. Having run a PB for the marathon at Newport last Sunday 29th April, Christine and I had to negotiate back-to-back half marathons across the Shropshire hills on Friday and Saturday. Unsurprisingly they were tough going on tired legs, especially so on the second day which was super tough. So in total that was almost 54 miles of running during the week of my 50th Birthday (Was that really the best way to celebrate?) The challenge for 2018 is not complete though. There's the small matter of the Snowdonia Marathon in the autumn, the toughest road marathon in the UK. Yikes!! As always these challenges are dedicated to those suffering with Motor Neurone Disease and Alzheimer's. We can't stop fundraising until there's a cure.
Thanks to all those truly wonderful people who have helped us reach the half way mark of our fundraising target, without out you our efforts would count for little.
